Curriculum Overview
At Thinkerland Preschool, we use the Nurturing Early Learners Framework (NEL) to plan for our curriculum. The 6 learning areas hold utmost importance to us as we feel that it is necessary for children to learn and develop holistically. The NEL framework allows us to provide opportunities to children to grow holistically.

As adults, we are busy bees who often forget to see the magic around us. But children, they see magic in everything around them. Like a sponge, they soak up new sights, sounds and feelings as they undergo adventures with new eyes. Curiosity in children needs more than just stimulation, they need role models and guidance. I want to be that educator who guides children and feeds them full.

My philosophy of education stands strong with the belief that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure and conducive environment to grow and mature holistically. My priority is to incorporate each different learning style to embrace a variety of diverse learners. As an early childhood educator, my desire is to take on the role of a guide and scaffold children's learning and development to their fullest potentials, while building quality relationships from my day to day interactions with them.

“The influence of teachers extends beyond the classroom, well into the future”, as quoted by F. Sionil Jose. Every child deserves a caring teacher who is considerate of their diverse needs and encourages them to rise to their potential. I strongly believe that teaching isn’t simple about parting knowledge but inspiring life.

My philosophy of teaching is the belief that every child is an individual and we should value and develop each child’s strengths, interests and skills. I believe a good teacher cannot inspire without being a learner. As an educator, I will constantly learn and continuously examine my teaching strategies to improve the lives of young learners.
